DESCRIPTION:Join us for Higher Vibrations Troubadours Season 2:\n“Singing in Gratitude and Appreciation”\n  \n \nWe are thrilled that Renee Morgan Brooks \n\n\nwill join the Troubadours as a special guest artist!  \n  \nThis performance will all be held at The Beatitudes \nSaturday\, January 6th\, 2024;  10:30-11:30 am (please arrive by 10:00 am)  \nThis is a meaningful way to give back to a population of wonderful seniors. \nThe Beatitudes Campus \n1610 W Glendale Ave\, Phoenix\, AZ 85021 \nThis amazing center is home to over 800 senior residents in Phoenix. \nhttps://beatitudescampus.org/ \nPerformances are 10:30-11:30 am\, please arrive by 10:00 am \nThere are 5 performances. Please agree to attend a minimum of 4. \n  \nRehearsals will be held at: 730 E Rowlands Lane \nThere are 3 rehearsals. Please agree to attend a minimum* of 2. *Each rehearsal will introduce new pieces. \n  \nIf you love to sing in harmony with others\, you are welcome to sing with us! Music reading requirements are very minimal. We only ask that you be comfortable with your singing voice and that you are a shower singer\, a freeway diva\, or an “I love to sing in harmony with others” sort of person!  Our choir is open to anyone who loves to sing and wants to learn to improvise music with others. \nThe Higher Vibrations Troubadours travels to different events and locations to provide participatory singing performances for residents\, families\, and friends in senior and assisted-living communities. \nWe rehearse and sing our music with the audience\, encouraging them to use their voices for health\, healing\, and transformation. This is not a traditional choir.\n  \nWhat is the mission of this choir? \nOur choir will rehearse and sing with the audience\, encouraging them to use their voices for health\, healing\, and transformation. \nOur vision is to provide life-affirming\, health-supporting\, spiritual experiences through singing together in Harmony and Love! YES if you enjoy the idea of singing with an audience of seniors and bringing harmony to their lives. YES if you hold a vision of a world transformed by Harmony. \nDo I need to be able to read music? \nThere will be sheet music\, however\, if you have a good ear you may not need it. Most of our songs feature a melody and improvised harmony. \nWhat if I don’t know what ‘section” I should sing in? \nEvery choir member sings in their own range.  You choose the notes that are comfortable for you!  We don’t really have sections\, though there may be a high part and a low part. \nWhat if this music is all new to me? \nIf you already love singing\, you will learn these songs quickly. They are all Harmony-friendly! You will be surrounded by many singers who already know the music. \nIs there a fee? \nThere will be no charge to you for singing in this choir other than the cost of a white notebook for your music. You are always welcome to donate to our outreach. \nWhat is this music about? \nWe share songs by HG Moses that celebrate the beauty of Nature\, the wonder of Cosmos\, and the healing power of Love. Our non-denominational lyrics merge the languages of science and spirituality in a music that is filled with beauty\, passion\, and spiritual expression. We seek transformation through Harmony and Love! \nWe invite you to review our Higher Vibrations Music site and also visit our YouTube Channel to hear one of the songs we will be singing. \nWhat are the rehearsals for? \nWe will always be adding new songs in our rehearsals. We will rehearse some phrasing\, dynamics\, and tempo changes.  However\, the bulk of our rehearsal will be to improve and hone our improvisational skills. We will experiment with ways to be more comfortable singing\, as well as learn ways to make your voice more beautiful. \nSome of our songs are structured\, but many also contain an “improvisational zone” where singers create their own melodies and harmonies.   We will teach you simple techniques for improvising. \nWhat is Improvisational Harmonic Singing? \nSome of our music incorporates harmonic overtone tracks that blend perfectly with your voice and the piano. We call this Improvisational Harmonic Singing. Our members report that it’s like singing with angels.
